C.A.R.M.E.N. – the Central Agricultural Resources, Marketing and Energy Network is a non-profit organization, founded in 1992. Since 2001, the network is part of the Centre of Excellence for Renewable Resources in Straubing, Bavaria, Germany.
We offer independent information and consultancy with a focus on the transition to renewable resources and renewable energy, and on the sustainable use of resources. Besides bioenergy, solar and wind energy, our main subjects include industrial use of biomass, carbon capture and utilization, biorefinery, advanced recycling of bio-based products, as well as sustainability.
C.A.R.M.E.N. is funded by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, and the Bavarian Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forestry. Its nearly 100 members cover the whole value chain of renewable resources and renewable energy.
